That impacts how DJ plays than just this. Many people around campus believe that family drama played a huge role in DJ's poor start and sophomore slump this year. Whereas I think Big Dave was a huge positive during DJ's freshman year, he may have been a net negative during his sophomore year. Don't get me wrong - the guy loves his kid and would try to do anything he could for him, but I think his ability to help in a positive way was much more limited this year.

I am pretty sure DJ and Big Dave do not talk much. Big Dave did not come to many games this year and because of the divorce, DJ speak to him his mother a lot from what I can tell. Big Dave likes to give off the sense that he is involved with DJ but from what I have heard, he is not really involved. Kinda a fraud if you ask me that is in the spotlight because of his children. If I was DJ, I would probably be frustrated with him too.

a 100% vocal supporter and advocate of everything Clemson, and in the midst of some admittedly disappointing QB play, question the man's motives and commitment via a negative interpretation of a tweet.
Big Dave has been awesome. He is obviously going through a lot at home. We can't just let that be?

I could care less about Big Dave but I'm guessing people are getting tired of him thrusting himself in the spotlight. Maybe he should just put a lid on it.
