We didn’t exactly reach for the stars with our DC hire a year ago. It’s funny to laugh at Bama for Steele, he’s a far superior DC than the one here. Just being honest.

It appears Saban is starting to lose his luster among assistant coaches. This a Coot-like hire not your typical Alabama hire. How far down his list did Nick have to go?
Lot's of snickering in Baton Rouge, Athens, Knoxville etc.......

DC for Saban at Bama in 2007-2008. I'd be surprised if he was Saban's first choice, but i don't think its a terrible hire. I'm more surprised about Tommy Reese being hired as OC.
