I worked in sales and customer service for many years in a management position. I have been threatened, talked down to, demeaned and not once did I ever resort to calling a customer names and listing my accomplishments. He just should have said I don’t agree and I’m not going to even validate your comments with a response. What he did was far worse because of this position.

I wouldn't have gone after the salary but otherwise Tyler told him the truth. Dabo reacted that way because he finds the truth darn inconvenient at this point. Even a novice viewer of football can see we block poorly and are soft on offense. If you choose your offensive staff out of your facebook friends list that will happen.

The only attack was on his hiring practices. Other than him suggesting he was over paid for 4-4. Quote him attacking his religion. You can't do it. Nobody has said that anywhere. In any case Dabo made clear today he doesn't want to do a call in show where he can be criticized.

I realize people are protective about Dabo. I love Dabo as our coach and I believe in him. I think he came out worse of the two in that situation. He came across as arrogant and full of himself. Maybe slightly amazed that someone would ever have the gall to question someone as amazing as he perceives himself as. That's how he came across. He was still stewing on it in the morning calling the guy an idiot. I wouldn't take any coach over Dabo for Clemson, but he came off poorly overall imo. I am sure he is very frustrated with the way things are going and it came out. I am expecting good thjngs from the Tigers this weekend.

As Tyler needs some Grace so does Dabo as he is seen as perfect God’s eyes because God looks through the Blood of his son when viewing the redeemed but , We all carry around this dying flesh that unfortunately shows up sometimes and makes us look like the world we are no longer a part of! I disagree. I think it was high time for Tyler to learn how to speak to men; respectfully. In life there are consequences, as we all well know. When one is addressing the senior head coach of a premier university, should it not be done with taste and deference? Dabo is a very accommodating person and willing to hear someone out but that guy obviously intentionally tried cut him to the bone and called his worth into question. What a lot of dorks we all are. What you saw was the rightful indignation of basely disrespected man. I'm glad he didn't hold back. Dabo came off like he had a pair hanging. Better than I can say for a lot of us on here with Sunday school teacher dispositions. How easy it is behind walls of anonymity to judge from your moral high ground. "Idiots like you" may have been a little over the top as you say, but punk boy did get pretty snarky and personal with his mic minutes, so I don't have much of an issue with Dabo taking the gloves off there considering. Hopeful Tyler takes it in as a teaching moment.

Being honest… I like a man that calls it like he sees it. That was probably toned way back from what he was really wanting to say. Seen a lot of coach speak from NFL and College coaches and professional is not a word I would associate with most of them.

Dabo is a good CEO.
Dabos faults are ego and stubborn.
He made huge staff and personnel mistakes. He made huge NIL and portal mistakes.
His pride is not allowing him to admit mistakes and reverse course. He is simply doubling down on the mistakes and hoping for an opposite outcome .

People defending Dabo in the situation just don’t get it. His responsibility as a leader of the organization was to simply either cut the call off or move along without responding.
Dabo’s is without question the greatest coach in Clemson history. But I think all the money, accolades, and surrounding himself with “yes” men have made him thin skinned and full of hubris.
Continuing to name-call and belittle a critic (who was not wrong by the way) is stooping to the critic’s level. A 53-year-old man, much less a famous football coach, should be way above this.
There is a larger problem underneath the surface. It will probably reveal itself soon.

I don't care about Tyler. There are so many people that think they know what's best but they aren't in the situation and they would never be able to handle the situation. Dabo runs an entire program, he deals with 100s of individual players and coaches and gets them on the same page. Screw Tyler. Also Dabo's priorities are the players not the fans.

Tyler’s question was what a lot of fans are wondering, but it was the way he asked that was wrong. I hope it lit a fire under Dabo and the entire team and they finish the season strong and become bowl eligible. I believe changes in the position coaches will happen in the off season.

I am 100% fine with Dabo's response.
The Tyler guy was not looking for any answers, he was looking for an opportunity to attack Dabo at every level.
Everyone has an opinion as to the phone call....mine happens to be that I agree with what Dabo did. I don't think it made him look bad at all.
Again, everyone is entitled to agree with his response or not.
