The SC senator calling Dabo entitled is a perfect example of people throwing around a word with little knowledge of how it should be used.
Entitlement is defined as one who believes he or she is deserving of privileges or special treatment.
Dabo, a man who came from nothing as a young person, who started at the lowest level of his profession, has now reached the top of his profession.
Dabo is still courteous with media and fans.
Dabo also frequently puts himself on level ground with others in a similar profession.
Dabo ensures that his fellow Clemson coaches are paid as well as possible.
Dabo gives back to the community through charities and the giving of his time and effort.
Entitlement is a behavior or an attitude. It is not a financial status.
