He can’t draw up a good scheme against the best teams. It’s simple, defense is a concern of course but Riley is proven for years that he can’t get it done on a big stage.
It’s apparent that both sides of the ball are in need of significant change. Better roster, more talent, and yes new coordinators.
Riley does not get a pass.

but we've actually had good defenses under him, this year aside.
Garrett is in his second year but we really took a jump in offensive numbers this year.
I'm not paid to make the call, and we've had a TON of injuries this year, but the trend seems to be offense up and defense down.
Now, will Dabo give Wes another year to fix it? Will Riley take another position?
I'm not sure but one thing is undeniable; we're a good team that's really not very close to being great.

Offense did improve against poor competition

Georgia, Coots, Texas are far and away the best teams our Tigers played. No TD’s against UGA. 2 running TD’s by Cade against Coots, and 1 TD pass today.
Highest level is where Clemson should and needs to be based on pay of these guys.
Wes, well I’ve about had it since he can’t get it done either. Defense just looks lost

Wes “had good defenses” because he inherited the defense that Venables built. Now that he’s fresh out of Brent’s guys this is his actual ability as coordinator we’re seeing.

Honestly the offense hasnt been that bad. Not sure what else we can do.
We havent had that many shots due to our defense having zero clue

I drew up better offensive plays and defenses in the sand at church ball on sundays. These guys are paid good money,
