Hello Tiger fans! Can I tell you what a joy it was to call the game with USC Upstate on Tuesday? I know the outcome wasn't what you wanted. But to be behind the mic for a Clemson baseball game, after taking to an in-uniform Jack Leggett on the field in pregame...man, it brought back great memories.
Many of you may be unaware of the drastic changes in my life over the last decade-plus. First and foremost, I gave my life to Jesus Christ on June 10, 2012, and it's the best decision I ever made. A bitter, ego-driven confused man was given hope and a new life in the Savior! Can I get an amen?
There's the gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago. Down 180 pounds and feeling better than I've felt in 30 years. The Furman gig has been better to me than I ever could have imagined. God has really blessed Angela and me.
The main point of this message, though, is to ask you a favor.
God has led me into a new ministry, a nonprofit called Grand Slam Ministries. It includes a weekly Christian radio show that tells stories of God working in the lives of men and women everywhere - stories you don't see or hear in the mainstream media. We are about two months in, and the guest list has been incredible already.
The favor is this...when you have some time, would you simply go check out our website? It is:
www.GrandSlamMinistries.org
It will also take you to the show website. We are just trying to raise as much awareness to this venture as we can. All the show episodes are archived there, and you'll see the Core Missions we hope to accomplish with GSM.
And, if you would, pray specifically for three things:
- God leads, and I follow. If it's the other way, things don't go well. - He sends us someone who is adept at fundraising/grant writing. - The ministry and show will grow. As finances increase, so does our on-air reach and our missions will get rolling.
Thank you for your time this morning. I pray all of you are doing well.
God bless...Dan

Suggestion.
Very minor. Please do not take this as criticism. The scripture verse you have on the page is the motivation for this suggestion.
First base should be love. You can't truly mentor or serve without love. Second base should be serve. One of the ways you show your love for God and others is to serve others. Third base should be mentor. One of the ways you serve others is to mentor.
Home plate is definitely Christ. It all starts with Him and it all ends with Him. "I am the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end." Home plate is also the beginning and the end.
Praying for you and this service you are giving to others through the ministry.
May God richly bless the ministry.

We tussled with that in the design… But ultimately because people read from top to bottom, and left to right, we decided to go with the logo the way it is. But it was a matter of discussion.
