Not reading anything that gives a 2 week recovery

Nov 16, 2014, 9:42 PM

I want to be optimistic and of course we don't have all the facts or the grade level sprain. But even at the lowest level sprain, I'm not reading anything that says two weeks is sufficient time to start playing again.

I hope this isn't another roller coaster let down.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i doubt he playes any more this year..

Nov 16, 2014, 9:43 PM

biggie is though no surgery and will be ready for spring.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Maybe bowl game if its later on.

Nov 16, 2014, 9:47 PM

But yeah, avoiding surgery is huge.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Great that no surgery is required.***

DeShaun has a cape .... its got an S on it and he wears it under his jersey.
He will beat that prognosis and the Coots to boot.

Even superman gets injured at times haha.

It's simple: if he's 100% we beat you no doubt. Without him its not likely we win. Unfortunately it's going to fall somewhere in between probably.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He would get 300 yes by himself if healthy. Coots have no

Nov 17, 2014, 7:11 AM

to stop a running QB (i.e. Kentucky.)

I think a healthy Stoudt could beat them by sitting in the pocket cause they have no rushers.

Coots found and planted some kryptonite in strategic places...sources say they are out of their supply, so life is good again! :)

but his playing status is "day to day".

if he practices well with no issues, there should be no reason we can't play him.

We will be lucky if he's back for the bowl....the important thing is he gets healthy for next. I can't stand the thought of losing to the Peckers again, but they can't rush him back too soon.

It's all about pain

Nov 16, 2014, 9:48 PM

If he feels good he'll play.

If it's a grade 1 sprain, playing in two weeks is not out of the question.

Grade 2 or 3 and I think he plays in the bowl game only.

Agree. Everything says at least 3 weeks

Nov 16, 2014, 9:53 PM

Usually a few months. We may need to temper our enthusiasm regarding the USuCk game...though I am holding out hope.

Re: Agree. Everything says at least 3 weeks

Nov 16, 2014, 9:56 PM

I am all for tempering enthusiasm, but reports say he has very little swelling and he walked off the field and to the locker room unassisted yesterday.

I'm feeling like it may be more possible to see him for USuC than you may think.

Idk everyone is different, I sprained my knee playing b-ball. And after a steroid shot and 7-10 days was ready to go again. I will tell you it makes a difference if it was the very first time he sprained that knee, it heels a lot faster the first time. They'll know a lot more this time next week.

You can tell the coots are not liking this news by some of these posts. Hey coots, he is not Clowney. If he can play, he will be out there.

my thoughts too.
so far, I'm staying optimistic because I'm not hearing anything telling me he won't play.
