Not only is Neff throwing more money at Littlejohn…

He hasn’t even once used it for Frank Howard’s intended purpose, a concert hall. In fact, there hasn’t been a concert in Littlejohn in over 6 years. I’m beginning to think Neff doesn’t understand how big time athletics facility management works, and am willing to bet the Board of Trustees have noticed this fact too.

Maybe cutigerbob® can help here, but doesn't that constitute a loss in utility & usefulness? If so, it would make cents the whys they continue to depreciate Men's Varsity Basketball by holding onto Brownell.
Spit-balling here of course...
Oh, and Go Tigers!

they got rid of the loading docks and service tunnel so they could build a larger practice court. I have been saying for years that more money can be made of motocross, concerts, monster truck rallies, and funny car races inside little john than basketball. Please try to keep up.
Thanks.

They should do Bassmaster weigh-ins there since Hartwell is so close instead of driving all the way to Greenville Bon Secours Arena. Long drive to keep fish alive and return to Lake Hartwell.

I have a friend who was a scholarship pole vaulter in the 80's for Clemson. The only ceilings high-enough (then) to accommodate indoor practices were the concourses of Little John, with the highest point being the glass corners. At that point said friend had to learn to hold the pole at a lower position, and when the vault occurred it was blind going into the vertical glazed corners. So even little upgrades have their advantages, let alone getting GraveDigger here.

Just like how we are still feeling the effects of having to play home games in Greenville a decade ago, Brownell also faces recruiting challenges from fans having to drive to Greenville for concerts.

if big time concerts had not been brought in to Littlejohn several times a year. But, as I have recounted before, they always seemed to schedule them on the weekend after first exam week, going into second exam week. As I was always madly cramming at this time, I could not afford to take an entire evening off to go get lit at a concert. I barely made it out as it was!

Rolling Stones.... Steel wheels tour in the Valley.
Camped out in front of the ticket booth for almost a week. That was almost more fun than the concert. Had to race home from the outer banks, Saturday after Thanksgiving, to see the show.

guy deep down and that's why he has thrown so much more money at the basketball program during his tenure than any of the other sports.

You’re obviously forgetting all the sweet music Brad’s teams make on the court.
