We have 5 or 6 guys coming back at DB, we have at least one committed and we're still after 2 or 3 more. We could very well be loaded at DB before next season.

not available due to injury. Brewer would have been at Safety had we not lost those starters. Coach V said Safety was Brewer's most natural position, but he was moved to corner because those guys were out. With those 3 coming back and 5 or 6 guys back in all, plus 2 or 4 more coming in, Davis would have been lucky to see the field. I don't like losing anyone at any time, but the sky is not falling because Cortez Davis is going somewhere where he hopes to see more playing time and not be relegated behind several other guys. You seem like one of those guys that has to have the last word. You got it chief. Enjoy your day here.

disappointed cortez is leaving. you don't want to lose experienced depth[not necessarily game].
brewer contributed far more at cb. the move to safety was a mistake, i'm pretty sure i remember the staff saying as much. i thought he was moved because he could transition more easily and we had little experienced depth at safety?
i know david chuckled, but he was a cb, played cb most of his career and is projected as a cb. let's hope the ones you mention make it back to 100%. i don't want to see humphries in an emergency role again this year.
good luck to cortez, but i'm never happy to lose any kids, much less kids that were recruited to be front-liners.

skill was coming off the corner on the blitz. He made a couple huge plays in the CFA Bowl when it counted, so I appreciate that about him. Cover skills? Not so much. I can remember at least four times he let a WR run free to catch a deep TD pass.

It's likely he was to be moved there. Not many 6-3 corners who are successful, Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman notwithstanding.
