Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

Friday night, ended up going to Double Stamp and Home Team.
Saturday, ran a few errands then went to Brewery 85 to hear Mac Arnold and his Plate Full of Blues, then ran off to Asheville to see Ian Noe, I was not expecting the snow I saw in Asheville.
Sunday, up to Charlotte for my niece's 2nd birthday. Also survived a trip to Ikea.

I tried to get her to come over to my place and watch it on TV instead of going in person. When she asked me how I got to go to the Masters on Thursday, I made a huge mistake and told her the truth that a stripper I met two weeks ago took me with her grandfathers badges.
Not only did she not come over to watch the game, she told me that going out together in the future “would be a mistake.”
To make matters worse, the stripper took another dude to the Masters yesterday in my place and texted me this morning to tell me that she wouldn’t be bringing me breakfast since she was still at his place. Now I’m hungry and lonely but at least my sunburn is feeling better.

Fri - Left work early and went fishing. Caught fish. Met fam at pizza place then a movie at home
Sat - McJr and I went turkey hunting. Nothing heard, nothing seen. Stayed home about all day and didn't accomplish anything?
Sun - Church in the morning. Wife and kids went to GA and I went fishing. Fishing pretty much sucked. Only managed 4 bass and a crappie. Early to bed.

dawghater2baby got out of the woods w/ her bout w/ RSV Thursday/Friday. We ultimately were able to host a crawfish boil and oyster roast shin dig at casa de dawghater Sattidee for the Master's
was a little nervous Friday evening...after talking to my wholesaler he said the delivery from Nawlins is a little unreliable. trucking problems, yada yada. I woke up sattidee real early and did my mud bug dance to the God of Budreaux. the Cajuns pulled through and the bugs made it to TN alive and kicking.
had about 30 people here, ate a bunch of bugs and slurped up some oysters.
customer text me at 230 saying they signed a big proposal I was working on. didn't see that until bout 7...and luckily my boss was paying attention and not as hammered as I was...so that worked out.
proceeded to real torqued knowing we closed that.
one of my all time hangovers yesterday. laid around and watched the master's while my 7 month old daughter who's now feeling great was screaming at me all day. capped it off w/ some messican w/ the fam.
this week gone get wild.

Friday: had a game, got home and watched The Masters
Saturday: watched Chelsea win, drove to Cootlumbia and back to see my daughter run at a track meet at Spring Valley, watched The Masters, went to sleep
Sunday: church, watched scokker, and then watched may be the mot boring Sunday at The Masters I can recall. I did wear my red polo, black pants and TW hat like bengaline® had wreck or mended

Friday, kept niece's boy since his school was on spring break and niece had to work, so work distractions all day. Then Joonyer dropped his dogs off around 3:30 so he could get to the wedding he was in this weekend, and of course, there was a late afternoon flurry of work-related bovine feces while all that was going on. Niece came to pick up son around 4:30, cats were all out because of dogs so herded them up for feeding, made a quick trip over to RH Mom's, back to walk three dogs, ate something for supper that I can't remember, watched Metal Lords on Netflix, which was excellent. Walked three dogs, then collapsed into bed.
Saturday, walked dogs, did chores, watched one half of spring game, walked dogs, ran errands, walked dogs, checked in on RH Mom, back to walk dogs, ate supper, watched something on TV, walked dogs, fell asleep in the big chair, woke up and walked three dogs, collapsed in the bed.
Sunday, coffee, walked dogs, Joonyer came to pick up two dogs, checked in with RH Mom then grocery run, back home to walk one dog, quick supper, watched Walking Dead, walked one dog, herded cats back into the house, collapsed in the bed.
So...this is what I did instead of going to Nashville to see Ray Wylie Hubbard.
15.75/19 Covids. The only real upside was the extra Fitbit steps, which means I'll probably stay healthy enough to walk dogs.

Pretty crappy other than the Masters...

Wife, daughter, and I all had what I believe was/is a cold, but a lot worse than I remember what a cold feels like. All tested negative for the covids. Daughter went to doc and test neg for strep and for flu. Had me down Thurs-yesterday. I feel a bit better today, but still not 100%.
Son-of broke his ankle/fibula last weekend, so he is laid up in his teenage sweat/hormone/xbox lair and signals for deliveries of food and drink like he's Caesar.
Watched all the golf on Fri/Sat/Sun...that part was the only good part.
Found out on Friday that a neighbor/friend from Augusta died suddenly Friday morning. Don't know many details other than he was feeling sick and went to doc and tested negative for covid. Family went on vacation and came home Friday morning and his oldest son (16ish) found him dead on the floor in their house. He leaves behind a wife and 4 sons. He was 50. He still played Rugby and was about the most fit 50 yo I know. He owned a landscaping business and basically worked outside all day.
Then found out on Sat that another former neighbor passed...he was 52, but not in good physical condition. Don't know any details on that.
So sick and more tragedy than I care for in one weekend.

To help you confirm/affirm or whatever: The last time I got sick in March was like the times I'd get sick before Covid. Sinuses would burn, then the congestion set in, low energy for a couple of days, then start to improve. This time around the pain in the nose was worse than ever...or maybe since I had not experienced that in 2 years I'd just forgotten.

I drove up to Clemson Thursday night. I got the full Atlanta experience on the way, by which I mean there were mentally-disturbed vagrants panhandling cars sitting in traffic on the interstate. Listened to a podcast on W.T. Sherman and wished he had been more thorough in his work.
Friday: Breakfast at Ruffage. Spent time in Clemson. Pot Belly Deli for lunch. Drove in the mountains. Solid A.
Saturday: COLD spring game but spent time in Clemson. Returned home that night. B.
Sunday: wife of wasn't feeling good so we skipped church. Low key day until we tried to go to a minor league game last night. I need to adjust my expectations of life with a 19 month old. Spent the entire game following him as he ran around. He got sunburned, wife of wasn't feeling great, and we left in the fourth inning. C.

is the ####. Right next to the Wedge, had delicious oysters, lobster bisque, Dover sole, and an absinthe to get my head crazy.
Tinsley Ellis killed it at the Grey Eagle. Excellent blues guitarist. He didn't remember me but remembered the name of the house that I lived in and that he played in the kitchen.
Woke up to snow in April.
Went to second half of spring game when the place is empty. Hope the offense when they are not split up is better.

Stayed home with Granny. No visits or guests. Watched The Masters. Got email from home insurance about replacing the roof by next year. Not happy about this. Almost warm enough for kayak. Lake Murray first then Edisto River.

Friday--had HH beers with a buddy, then came home.
Saturday--everything was good and had a buddy from college text to tell me he was down and see if I wanted to grab dinner or drinks. Started planning for that, then work called and basically blew up my Saturday/early Sunday. Spent the rest of the night trying to keep smolders from turning into flames, and also playing referee to two dudes who act like children when they are around each other. It's annoying and soul crushing. I want a new job. Like yesterday.
Saturday--Slept all day (because up all night) and got up and basically did nothing until around 5 when I went to see Hans Wenzel and his band play outside at Mainland Container. Incredible weather, a few cold beers and a great band. Sunday made up for the ruination of my Saturday.

But nope--same band. They actually played together twice this weekend. Saturday at Dogapalooza in Hanahan and yesterday at Mainland.
I didn't ask about it, and the bassist told me they have some more gigs coming up at The Southern.
