Not A Fan of Either Team

However, that was one helluva game. If Clemson played well defensively, they could be going to Atlanta. In my short analysis, Clemson had a National Championship caliber offense and a not-so-great defense. What a waste of eligibility and talent.

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

I'd think we would need a completely healthy Mafah for our offense to be championship caliber. Our defense was way off the mark.

Clemson has more Stallions in the stable at Running Back than Phil Mafah. The fact of the matter is that Phil earned his playing time through improving, developing, and most of all his loyalty to the program. He was not only loyal, but projected leadership in the locker room and on the practice field. However, I believe Clemson could have placed a hot hand rotation without him and still won it all if Clemson had a dominant defense other than the back four and front four. The linebacker corps was the Achilles heel for that Clemson defense and Wes Goodwin failed to develop them and more importantly, did not deploy them correctly from a schematic standpoint. Hopefully, a guy like Leonhard comes to town and installs some development and better defensive scheme to that defense. With guys like Mike Reed, Nick Eason, and Chris Rumph at the helm, Leonhard could perform miracles from a player roster standpoint. The talent is there, just need better usage of the talent they have.

Disagree about the RB room

We were in desperate need of somebody to emerge behind Mafah and nobody did. The coaches wouldn't even play most of them. We had to move a WR to RB to get a spark.

We have a lot of bodies at RB, but it doesn't appear that many of them are Clemson caliber.

Well why didn’t Dabo and Co. play those stallions? They are so much stallions that Dabo trotted out a hurt Mafah and had more confidence in a WR turned RB a week prior? Come on man, take those glasses off!

Clemson would absolutely benefit from a portal RB otherwise they are counting on an incoming freshman and a bunch of RB’s Dabo don’t trust!

I am not either, however, I do like the ND coach and I am so glad the QB got to go on stage this time. California is filled with donkey dung individuals. They tried to shut him down but they didn't shut him up!! Last night he landed on an even bigger stage. I hope they win it all!!!
