Fun to read the hafassuseniholes websites today and look at the crowing about how good their bought team was and how they could have beat Michigan...they are at work out buying a new team from the portal...they will have the same mess...with the loyalty that showed up in Miami the Noles could not have beaten Leon County High School! BEST TO HAVE THEM OUT OF THE ACC!

How did they end up in AP poll #6 if you are looking at the very best top 25 teams at year end. They would be lucky to be in top #20 at year end. Who could they have beaten at year end in too #20? Rankings evidently are based on your record regardless of who you defeated or loss to.

I just don’t see it. There was talk of them not being one of the four best teams even befor Travis was injured, because they simply weren’t. Their defense was solid - not elite - but they struggled throughout the season. We’d likely have beaten them if not for a missed field goal. BC as well. I thought Michigan was clearly a better team than anyone in the playoff and certainly fsu, even the pre-injury version.

Bama also struggled through out the year

1 game meant UGA was suddenly too BAD to get into the playoffs and Bama was instantly better than the other 4 teams in contention.

No. Michigan was a good team this year, defeating the best (or second best) from three different conferences. Unless you can somehow imagine that FSU was better than Ohio State, Washington, and Alabama, then there's no reason you should expect more than 13 points from them.
Did Michigan cheat to get any of those wins? How much did cheating help? I can't answer those, but end-of-year FSU would probably be no better than .500 in most other leagues.
