I wondered why Hall could not hit his layups, and I took a closer look at that last layup by Hall.
Notice VERY CLOSELY that Hall's layups are rotating in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION for the side of the basket that he is driving on.
I've had to correct this habit in my youth rec league coaching, and if Brownell has not had the perception to notice this flaw in Hall's layups for a driving point guard, then he is indeed pathetic.

do you coach basketball in a power conference? if you cant get over the fact that Clemson is a VERY young team, and have people on our bench who can step up next year then you are pathetic. look at jordan roper, and the fact that we shut down every team defensively. we aren't good offensively, I knew that going into the season. We will be ok in the next 1-2 years. Overall brownell has done a pretty good job with what he's had. Its kind of hard to recruit in the ACC with Duke, UNC, Maryland, and so forth in the conference. I think Purnell just got lucky with some of his recruits.

Notice Brownell's comment during the half time interview.
He talked about how bad Clemson's shooting has been all year.
Yet when I see a FUNDAMENTAL, juvenile flaw in something as simple as a layup, with obviously NO COACHING to have corrected it, it is really just unbelievable!
The saddest thing is that Hall made the SAME FUNDAMENTAL MISTAKE on his prior layup only moments before, which is when I did a double take on what I perceived was a serious problem, confirmed only moments later to seal the loss.

...correcting this type of poor form is something for graduate assistants to iron out at the head coach's direction. Clearly none of them are getting much offensive coaching.
AD Rad will give the Brownell experiment another 2 years, with the season winding down with the completion of the new coliseum.

...you'll a right-handed kid flip the ball out of his hand CLOCKWISE from the right side of the basket instead of counter-CLOCKWISE.
Try it out and you'll see how many layups you miss.

Yeah, so ignore the fact that he put together a game plan to hold the #3 team in the country to 45 points - 25 less than their 70 point average.
But let's focus on some minor ball-spin issues on one players' layup. That definitely proves the guy suks at coaching...

Did you ever actually PLAY basketball? It's a lay up. There is no rotational spin dependent on which side of the basket you are on.

I've never said anything disrespectful about Brad Brownell. All I've done is express my opinion that he will not make Clemson a top 25 basketball program and as time goes on and we remain outside of the top 25 it will be proven that I'm actually right. Would I like to be wrong in this instance? Of course I would, krzy!! Of course I would!!
If Brownell is the guy for the job, then Clemson is not a school for the top 25 basketball polls. This is simply fact! This is not really my opinion!! I LOVE CLEMSON, trollbitsaucy!!! I really do!! I just also love being REALISTIC!
