No team from the Eastern Division has won the SEC since 2008

For perspective: QB Tim Tebow was a Junior in college
TE Aaron Hernandez is a free college student, and a top draft prospect
WR Riley Cooper is not yet a public racist

No team from the Coastal has won the ACC since 2010. Funny how divisions get rolling like that.

I would think the east is due to start making it closer. Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU all have coaches with warm seats or some kind of scandal. Saban will eventually retire... though I imagine anyone could take over that much talent and keep it going for a few years... but meanwhile UGA, Tenn, and Florida all just got pretty decent coaching staffs setup that will likely hit their stride about the time those other west teams start re-organizing. I could see the east start going toe to toe with the west again in the next 3 years.
Lots of new coaches in the ACC coastal too but you have Clemson, FSU and an emerging Louisville in the Atlantic.. not to mention NC State has some potential and Dino Babers will have Syracuse good enough to hit that spoiler/upset role. The Atlantic isnt going anywhere so the coastal has their work cut out for them.
In any case, the SEC and the ACC looks to have some competitive battles over the next several years. Should be fun to watch.

You left off a neat statistic.
The SEC has won 5 national championships since then.

Was listening to Sirius XM College Sports yesterday and they were talking about the offensive woes of the SEC East. Check out the FBS rankings in total offense for those teams...
Tenn - 52 GA - 83 KY - 89 USuC - 99 Florida - 111 Vandy - 116 Missouri - 124
Out of 127 FBS teams. And Florida won the division. Things aren't likely to change until somebody picks up their offensive game.
