over the past several years. Losing Corbin and O'Sullivan hurt exposed him as a mediocre coach. Most Clemson fans with a brain will agree that in order to win championships, a change needs to be made.

live in a land of delusion. Our coaching in football and baseball, not to mention other sports, is killing us, but the biggest enemy has been Barker and his US News top 20 crusade. Odd since there is nothing in the US News formula affected by athletics and most schools ranked higher than us have superior athletic programs. For far too long, athletics at Clemson have not been a high priority, but our apathetic fans are most responsible for sitting by and letting it happen an attacking anyone that dared complain. I was at Clemson 84-88, seeing how far we have fallen since the 80s breaks my heart. I hope Mickey is right and our new Chairman of the BOT is determined to win again.

- Clemson has been under achieving in football for years
- Clemson has had and still has talent based on recruiting rankings and NFL draft results
- Talent but consistent under achieving = poor coaching
- Since Hatfield, our last 3 head coaches had a combined total of 3 years head coaching experience when hired. TB's coordinator experience was primarily under his brother and Dabo has zero coordinator experience. No BCS school serious about winning football would make 3 consecutive hires of that poor quality. Of the 3, West, TB, & Dabo, only TB was seen as a hot commodity among potential BCS schools looking to hire a new HC. And as we all know now, TB was only as good as he looked b/c of RichRod.
- Barker is obsessed with the US News top 20. The scandal created by his manipulation of the US News criteria is proof of that.
- Barker has not made athletics a high priority
- We use to win more ACC championships every year in the 80s than we now win over 3 to 5 years
- Fans are consumers. When they care and voice displeasure things happen (Ken Hatfield) when they are apathetic and give blind devotion and loyalty, losing becomes the norm (see the past 20+ years)
- You may find me boring, but the facts and history prove me correct. YOU and other delusional, kool aid drinking, apathetic fans are a huge part of the problem.

USC has a coach who can actually in Championships.
We have won who doesnt teach fundamentals and is doing nothing with a program that should be elite.

clemtiger117 keeps complaining about only one ACC title in 16 years, ignoring all the trips to Omaha in the same period of time. Personally, I'd rather play for a national title than win the conference.

trouble is, 117 is worse than a coot. he just complains incessantly about a coach that will be in the college baseball hall of fame as soon as he is eligible. is anyone happy with this years team, he!! no, players and coaches included. recruiting will take care of the problem. i am pretty sure jack will step down when he feels the time is right, much like coach wilhelm did.

I can say that I am a Clemson graduate but it has nothing to do with the state of our Baseball program and how much it underachieves under Jack.
We have been a good to great program. We should be great to elite.

Getting to Omaha while a nice accomplishment means little when you dont win it.... Clemson will not win it with our fundamentals being taught under Jack.
No one remembers who finished second.
I want Championship trophies not participation ribbons.

regardless of whether you win it or not. Being one of the last 8 teams standing is VERY significant. And when you go as frequently as Clemson does (every freshman class that has entered since the fall of 1987 has made at least one trip in its 4 year career), there's no reason to complain. Unless you just want to be a whiny *****. I guess you were happy when Clemson won the ACC but didn't make it to Omaha but once in 13 years. Clemson didn't even make the tournament for 5 straight years in the 80s. Just shut up.

You're the one that's only interested in winning conference championships. You're all about championships, yet winning a regional or super regional championship apparently doesn't count. Who cares if Clemson wins the ACC if they don't make it to Omaha? Can you address the fact that Clemson didn't even MAKE IT to Omaha but once in a thirteen year period during the 80s? Is it OK with you to fail to make it that many times as long as you win the ACC? There's nothing wrong with getting to Omaha. You're the one that's putting down making it to the College World Series if you don't win it. That's ludicrous. I'd love to win the ACC and the national championship, but playing for a national title sure beats staying home. Coach Leggett IS an elite coach. Someone who's the 6th winningest active coach in D1 baseball is an elite coach regardless of how many championships he wins. Mike Martin is an elite coach and he's never won a national title.
