So, so tempted right now. New VP is that insufferable.
This is what nest eggs are for, right?

But it's Friday. Rethink this on a Monday when things are better. LOL.

Job hunting is such a PITA when you have a job because you're constantly having to sneak around and come up with excuses for being off work

I made 1,000 in 5 Days simply by following a duplicated system...... EASY to Do.... We provide Stated income business lines of credit to business owners anywhere in the UNITED STATES... and you can earn money just for referring in business owners you know.. ALL YOU DO IS CALL ME.... GET ON BOARD... THEN TELL YOUR ACCOUNTANT.... AND YOUR ATTORNEY HOW THEY CAN BORROW MONEY AT LOW RATES.. AND YOU GET PAID.... THIS SYSTEM WORKS..... CALL ME...

Then I do the math that for every $10K I make now, will take about a month of job searching, and who knows where that job might actually be located. That math has historically turned out about true.
Then I think if whatever I'm pissed off at now is worth spending what I have saved up, and also remember how long it took me to save it, and wonder would happen if I get canned from the new job?
And I swallow all that bucket of #### with a few beers, and go back to work the next day.

where I am right now.....two kids and a stay at home wife just up the gut-wrenching factor significantly on a decision like this.
It's just a tough scenario.....I've worked for a lot of people over the years. Many were bad leaders. This one though, is just a bad person......it's like I have ethical issues just working for them, even though I'm doing nothing wrong.

That normally, I'll wake up with a hangover, dreading work that day..then 6 hours later wonder what I was so upset about.
It's happened more than once.
"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."
or
"This too shall pass"
both fit.

The guy would threaten to fire me day in and out if I didn't do my job AND his. He also blamed me for the fact he chose to work late every day and not see his family. My favorite was when he told me that I, nor the work I did, mattered to the company.
I also had a job lined up though.

my dad was very sick and I was living 500 miles away, so I moved back home to help Mom with him.
Took me about 6 months to find a new one, but it was worth it. It was great to be able to spend quality time with the folks that I would not have been able to otherwise.

First, as NoIntro and others who know me in real life will attest, I am very cautious and conservative when it comes to money, career, family, etc. Maybe a little too cautious. I say that just to let you know this is not the perspective of a thrill-seeking impulse rider.
With that as preamble, I have left several jobs without having another lined up or in the interest of pursuing different things. While it may have hurt the feelings of those I left, it has always proven to be the right move for me.
I left my job in the ATL to go back to grad school. Cost me 5 years of any real income, but we did fine and now I have a job earning 2X what I did back then, with a lot more flexibility, etc.
I left a job in Texas because I was homesick and all my friends were in the ATL. Moving to the ATL led to some of the best days of my young adult life, meeting my wife, and ultimately beginning my new career.
Most recently I left a hospital job to go out on my own. I did so with careful planning, but so far, so good.
Life is short. Look before you leap, but then GO FOR IT!

why the heck would you cower in a corner and run home with your ball and hide when you could just walk into your boss's office, punch him in the face so hard that he just lays there making moaning sounds unable to form real words with his broken jaw, and then piss on his incapacitated excuse for a body just to remind him who the hell runs this show.
Or you could just carefully frame him in some way that will get him fired and then take his position.
Either way, AlphaObed > Betaboss. If he's in your way, crush him.
