My son works in the steel industry, buying, selling, and brokering. According to him, the current low price of steel and high inventories at the factories is mirroring 2008. Buckle up for the ride.

know they have a great product like the Nike 270c, in it’s inception, they will hire “Tech Reps” to go and seed all the new shoes they have as now they have a new technology and shoe platform. They need to educate everyone.
Then those tech reps, who mostly have athletic backgrounds, kinesiology degrees, sales degrees will become the voice of Nike all around the globe. Educating retailers, running groups, physical therapists, etc. about all the benefits of their new technology.
Then all the sudden, let’s say Hoka arrives on scene and takes 20% of running market share. Nike: oh crap. Then all the sudden you have Brooks and even Crocs taking over the medical sales. Nike: Crap.
They start culling the herd for the replacement. The next crop of attractive athletes for the next drop, maybe like the throw back Blazers. Now you have this new crop working the circuit with high end stores selling in the blazer.
I lived this life for 15+ years. I could go on and on. Point being. You all look for a bogeyman and this isn’t it. This is the nature of the business.
