Nice orange and purple sunrise in Easley this morning

Yep, the sun still came up this morning. Go Tigers. Always.

True, JT, and at 70 years old, I’m getting much better. But I can’t lie, the several times I woke up during the night, the game immediately popped back ‘into my brain’. Fortunately, I was able to go back to sleep in a few minutes, as opposed to replaying the game in my head and tossing and turning for more time than I care to try to remember, as I did so much of in my younger days. I’m hoping I’m finally getting better. But then again, maybe it was the bourbon. 😉

However, it was a nice sunrise a little further east of Easley, as well. I’ll still enjoy the heck out of the beautiful fall weather when I walk my dog a little later, and I will enjoy the day. Well, after I mourn our Tigers loss with my morning coffee, fruit and my dog curled up in my lap and scroll through tnet, selecting posts to read based on my recognition of the known good ‘98.5%er’ Tiger fans on tnet like rhettfla .

Thanks UB. I’ll probably catch some flack for that post. All Tiger fans are hurting after that loss and the last couple of years. I’m 60 and have learned to have a similar perspective to yours. I was so fortunate to be able to enjoy watching my daughter be involved as the Tiger Cub mascot from 2014-2016 during some of the best times in recent memory and also to be a sophomore myself during the 1981 season. Those are times I’ll never forget. And they also made me a fan for life, regardless of the outcome. I’ll be watching the sunrise from a tree stand tomorrow and feeling the presence of my Dad who died a very long time ago when I was only 26 years old. That seems to happen every time I’m in the woods alone. Guess those things that happen in our life also help prevent some of us from taking things for granted and remind us to stop and “smell the roses” or look at the sunrises and sunsets and the beautiful fall scenery we have around here this time of year. I know that I’m just so thankful that I have been able to do that for most of my life. I try to enjoy the good things so the bad ones like last night don’t dominate my thoughts.
