Next Portal Priority

I have it on very good authority that the next priority target for our basketball coaches via the transfer portal is Dexter Dennis...transfer wing who played at Wichita State.

Dennis is 6'5" with a 6'9" wingspan and has guarded positions 1-4 at Wichita. He was the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last year and a member of the all-freshman team in 2018-19...a season in which he guarded Marcquise Reed in Littlejohn Coliseum in the NIT and held him to 5-20 shooting (0-5 from 3pt). He also had 9 points and 11 rebounds that game. Dennis is a career 35% three point shooter, but his season percentages have gone down each year of his collegiate career. He shot 40% as a freshman and 30% from three last year.

It looks like Virginia, Indiana, and West Virginia are in play for Dennis as well, amongst many others...so this would be another big get via the portal for the staff.

He's added contacts from Seton Hall and Texas A&M in the last week, and he'll take an official visit to Indiana early next week.

Apologies for the wrong board...not sure what happened there.

As an update, Dennis will be visiting Clemson next week after his visit to Indiana. I think there's a real shot here.

Not need to apologize,

It seems that Indiana is our biggest competition for him at this point.***

He has his official visit on Wednesday
