Kinda torn. First thought was fresh blood but Bates is a good recruiter and worked under CBV. I’ll just trust that CDS has a good feel for this with some parting advice/recommendations from CBV.

What I'm afraid of is if we dont offer Bates DC he leaves for Oklahoma/BV. Bates is one of the best recruiters in the nation but offering him the DC spot seems like a reach. To say he "learned" from BV while being a line coach is also suspect.

With the exception of Pruitt, these are better candidates than those in the original post. From what I have read, Pruitt seems to be somewhat difficult with whom to work. Also did not run a very tight ship in Knoxville.
