Way to early to pay attention to the polls...we need to help our guys stay grounded instead of talking Heisman and being number 1...As we saw last year when a team doesn't blow out someone they drop very quickly in the polls. Florida State should be what we are concentrating on instead of what the polls are. Coach seems to believe our guys will take it all in stride...it doesn't take but 1 bad game and it all goes away. Go TIgers...focus, believe in yourselves and execute. Study the films this week and just play like you want it. BE THE TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BELIEVE & EXECUTE

Bama has a close loss to #18 and their best win is over #19.
ND has a better resume than Bama. Close loss to #1 and win over #22.
Michigan State has a better resume than Bama. Win over #17 and no losses.
Florida has a better resume than Bama. Close loss to #2 and they absolutely crushed the Ole Miss team that beat Bama!!
IMO, they really shouldn't release these rankings until Dec 6th.

That is why the early polls do matter, at least initially, and they do artificially prop some teams up and keep some down early. Hopefully, it all does come out right in the end. I believe it did last year, but might not each year.

Teams each team beat or lost to based on the amount of wins the opposing team had. Clemson was the only team who beat 4 teams with winning records.

Doesn't mean thing right now if you are Ranked #1 or Ranked #250. All of this is an opinion and if opinions could win games then there would be a lot of number one's. Proof of who a team is will always be left on the field after the dust settles. The only question is who wants it the most. The home stretch begins now and its time to leave no doubt on who you are and what you are going to do. Man up and spot the ball.

I for one wouldn't mind seeing that coach cry in his cornflakes one more time. But at the same time I would rather face some new teams like Alabama, Baylor, Florida... or just kick Ohio State and LSU's #### again.

Wouldnt it be great to play Alabama, beat them, turn around play LSU for the National Championship, beat them. Man the world would turn upside down, and I think we would have to be crowned SEC champions as well as we may have three wins over SEC teams in one season.

Many of us had misgivings over Notre Dame's association with the ACC, but without their agreement to have an ACC heavy schedule, and our win over ND, there is no way we would be ranked No. 1 right now. Funny how things work out. Now we need to just win-out!

I've been a diehard Tigers fan since I was 10 years old. I was lucky enough to be at the Wake Forest game during their 1980-81 National Championship season. I'll be there this Saturday with my son. The Dabo has this talented team of Professionals ready to perform. This is one of the biggest games of the year. Stay strong Tigers. Play smart, stay healthy, and don't loose the ball and Saturday you will show the country why you deserve to sit at the top of the College Football Playoff Rankings. Can't wait till Saturday!!!!! We lost to Maryland and finally separated from Tommy Bowden? That was the low point in recent times for Clemson Football. man, look how far we have come... Look at us now. Thanks Dabo and company! And doing it the right way, you don't see our starters getting DUI's, taking illegal "supplements" or not having to go to classes. We are "winning with class".
