No, they have won the "conference" 11 times. As bad as the state fans happen to be, they are not coots. They are just slightly substandard engineers and that is about it.
On their current pace, that is OVER A THOUSAND YEARS worth of football for the coots.
Do the math. Coots = 1 conference title every 138 years. So getting to 11 titles would happen around the year 3,404. Add in the stipulation that they have to leave the conference almost immediately afterwards due to some disagreement on their players being literate, they they might run out of conferences before they get to the year Thirty-four oh four.

Before going to Med school and changing careers, I was an engineer. Some of the best/brightest engineers I ever met were from NC State. Better than the ones I met from Georgia Tech. Smallish sample size, of course. Some of the dumbest docs I ever met were from Duke. Those people are absolute nerds with no social skills.

Maybe their other engineers are better but their civil is the pits. In my previous gig, I worked with NCDOT. I have never met a collective of wasted engineering funds than what NCState was churning out and funneling though to the DOT. Ironically, the division engineer spent time in Lowery. Nine of the 10 NCSU engineers I would not trust to build a Lego bridge. The one normally did their masters somewhere else.
Now, those same said engineers could talk to someone without looking at their shoes, they went into consulting but still, often a very lackluster skillset IMO
I have not met a bad GT engineer. Not saying their product is always good, but just never bad. Often the engineers that surprise me the most are Ped State.

Why shouldn’t they be? They have 80% of their starters back, from a team that beat us last year. Like most fans, they know their own team well and are confident in them. What they know about Clemson is mostly what they saw last year, and assume that we will be no better this year. Hopefully our team will educate them, and not the Wolfpack educating US.
