Had an interesting chat with a NCSU parent during the rain delay. Their program is in shambles. Fired their coach just before conference play with no plan to bring in a replacement coach this season. Not even a caretaker. They have 1 paid coach on staff and she was a player last year. It says a lot (in a bad way) for how they view woman’s athletics at the school. A shame for the athletes playing on their last year of eligibility. Boog Corrigan should be called out by the ACCN and ESPNs female broadcasters. Kay Yow must be rolling over in her grave.

Also, one of her assistant coaches was her husband. Hard to keep him on staff for the remainder of the year.

Hannah Goodwin is their 3B. She was the starting SS for Clemson's inaugural team

An injury sidelined her in 2021 and last year she saw action in only 1 game.

They do have a top 10 women's basketball program and won the women's cross country natty recently so their total women's program has to be viewed as pretty successful aside from softball. Sounds like a dumpster fire there though for sure.

Only thing that ever sustained my interest in NC States program was them being in the ACC with us. Didn’t really read this but I’m just not interested. Dave Doreon’s a punk. Elliot Avent’s alright. Keates is Brownell. They can do you know what with themselves.
