I like to do that, have not made it lately. I always camp at Huntington Beach State Park. It is between Murrells and Pawleys. The beach is the best on the Grand Strand as not crowded. I have done 10K races on the beach from there to Murrells and back. One year won a Pawley's Island hammock.
The big deal is Fall bird migration is going on, and HBS is a birder's paradise.

Well Tug, if you have been to Bike Week, you had probably had some naked women on the back of that hog. I'm talking about the motorcycle.

Tug I've made that Fall Bike week quite a few times at Myrtle Beach and for me personally the fall week was better than the Spring week, But, I stopped going to the Myrtle Beach Rallys that year they were stopping 100's of Bikers coming in and shoving a rod in their pipes checking baffles. I forget what they were charging all those that didn't have baffles, but I do remember is was crazy fine but they could get half of the fine back if they showed up at court with baffles.
I've always sawed off half of my baffles to give my pipes a nice throaty sound, not to loud, but not to quit either, my friends said they could hear me coming 1/2-3/4 mile away. But I stopped going bc of what the cops were doing bc, those Bike weeks use to bring tons on money to Myrtle Beach twice every Beach season and we don't go so that the city council could make up more laws to get more of the money for themselves, and they were the only Bike Rally in the country that comes up with ways to tax the Bikers that come to their city, and they were the only ones to make up their own law that the pipes on our Harley's had to have baffles. It was the GP of it that made me decide not to ever go to their Rally again, and I haven't even been back to Myrtle Beach since then, but I have been to Daytona several times since. Now I do like the Daytona Spring Rally, and that's bc it's a little warmer in the spring than it is at Myrtle Beach

I have Thunderheader pipes. Those Myrtle rules only applied in the town of Myrtle, not Horry County. No one wants to go to dirty myrtle these days except yanks and Canadians.
