Dabo talks, everybody listens. So, rather than have him pontificating on what the ACC should do, and taking a line they don't want, they move the meetings to a time when they know he will decline the invitation to be there. Problems solved.

No. The ACC is not that smart. If they were they wouldn’t be in this predicament. And if our administration had been smart they never would’ve signed on to such a godawful deal.
