IE, I have a solution for your spending problem. Give that AmEx to your wife for a week.
I am looking the budget after a three day work trip this week. During those three days, we have three Amazon charges, plus three different online clothing purchases. There were also multiple trips to the grocery store despite groceries for the week being purchased before I left.
The cherry on top of this is $55 for some name brand toddler "water shoes" which are essentially, children's Crocs. Target sells a similar (to me, identical) brand for $15. Sadly, those were not up to my wife's standards. Luckily, she was able to find well over $100 worth of other things to buy at Target on her trip.
I don't even understand how she had time to be doing this much shopping. I might be buying her a Dave Ramsey subscription for her birthday.

market going on amongst themselves, if it wasn't so ridiculous it would be impressive. Some of the items may be shoplifted, I dunno...Don't really care either as long as we're paying $10 for what was a $60 dress, pair of shoes, etc. They're like little drug dealers but with kids clothes, you go over to one of their houses and they've got the goods on the table. Pay cash and leave.
I feel you though, we've probably got $500 worth of Life Vacs. Couldn't just have one, we needed one for our house, grandparents house, in the boat, the car...we've hoarded Life Vacs like they're potable water during a hurricane.

My wife is normally very good about hitting the consignment sales, etc. But if I had a penny for every time I've heard "we need to buy the boys some clothes, they don't have anything to wear," well, I'd be able to afford most of this stuff.
I just don't understand it. How do they not have anything to wear? Their closets are literally overflowing. "Oh, that's out of season." "They don't fit in those anymore"
Of course, my wife also complains about how much work it is to get the stains out of these clothes. My solution, to buy cheap stuff so it won't matter so much, was not well received.

But its not my money, so I don't keep up with it.

I know this because we had multiple boxes coming last week. I had to finally blow-up a little and question what the funk we were doing here.
Also, NONE of those boxes contained anything for me, but she did feel bad and buy me an expensive shirt I asked her not to buy me sometime after my birthday. It came last weekend...with more stuff in there for one of my sons.
