They aren't in either the Big 12 or the ACC, with neither conference showing any interest in them.

FSU will be in the BIG, MAYBE the SEC. ND probably to BIG. Maybe CLEMSON and MIAMI to SEC.
NOW the three major networks will be contracting billions to buy media rights to SEC/BIG teams. So who is left to fork over the money to televise those teams? The three contracting with BIG/SEC are not going to take on those teams. They don't need them. So, that conference will have no TV revenue. W/o that, they are sunk.

I’m good with it. Dump a few of the ones that don’t believe in the football side of things. Basketball would most definitely be superior to either one of the others. Reality is basketball doesn’t make football money.

I'd prefer this than to see the SEC and B1G cherry pick the ACC. I'd hope that a spinoff conference leaves enough for the ACC to soldier on.

Why do people keep suggesting this? It's a bad idea. The only reason to changes conferences is to make more money, and this idea would not make more money.
