I know you guys aren’t going to like it.

Coots 28
Clemson 14

They play with heart and I hope I’m wrong but I do think I am

I hope not, but I can see it too. Just wonder if Dabo will dance in their locker room afterwards..

tempt one to hope. But in the end I think Clemson will play significantly better than they have in the last month, but will still make way too many mistakes, especially via poor clock management and bland play calling, to close the deal. So, not a blowout ... maybe 31-23 or something like that.

You Guys are turn-coats, non-loyalists, gutless, weasels..

But youse may have a point BuT I see both clubs about even except ours has a lot of injuries, their D is pretty good but so is ours..

And thinking we have a edge in QB & new-found WR’ers..

so going with Tigers by the spread (3) since in DV#1 and a roaring crowd.

Go TiGERS..ROCK the Bulldoggies 1st!

If we can’t block both of their DEs and thus accomplish giving CK2 time -&- eliminating crushing hits that cause him to fumble, then we’ll win because S.Carolina will turn the ball over and set us up for a couple of short field TDs.

In order for us to block S.Carolina’s DEs successfully so that CK2 gets time to pass, then we’ll have to mix in a lot of running plays, including CK2 run calls to keep their DEs off balance.

To your point, if bland play calling = our usual predictable play calling, then they’ll already know our offense play calling tendencies in certain down & distance situations. If we can’t, at the very least, string together enough first downs on most of our possessions, then we won’t burn enough clock to get as.Carolina to become anxious when they get the ball. In that case, they’ll be less likely to take many risks and also less likely to turn the ball over. That scenario would be bad for us.

I respect your opinion and admire your optimism, but why do you think they will play significantly better? Is it the motivation that it is Carolina? Love the wins against Va Tech and Pitt, but the performance on the field was very disappointing in key aspects of the game.

Well . . .

it's just a hunch. You're right. Strictly speaking, based on L'Ville game onwards, the offense looks anemic and the D looks ok some drives and downright sloppy others.

I just have a hunch that a few things will coalesce into a better-than-lately performance. First, we'll get a reprieve week vs. Citadel - not a bye week of course, but a little bit of a lesser strain. So hopefully many guys will get rest. I also would hope the OL will be in better shape by Nov 30. I also think the intensity of the rivalry, the seniors (and maybe some others) final home game), will play a part. And also, I expect the recent crticisms may hopefully put a little fire under some folks (the staff?) to get a bit more creative and aggressive?

I'm not saying it'll be enough. But I expect a bit better than lately. I could be way off. I expected the same in 2022 vs. SC for the same reason and boy was I wrong.

As my mom used to say, "from your lips to God's ears." If we pull it off, you likely pinpointed the reasons.

Na, quit being soft. IF we come in healthy we have too many weapons for them to cover. Potential to be similar to their game against Ole Miss if we can contain Sellers. He's not gonna beat us with his arm.

Dude threw 5 TDs last week. Keep thinking that***

I'm not afraid of his arm because he threw for 5 TDs in a game. 2 of them were inside the 5 yard line. He had a great game. Based off of the other 8 games he's played I'm still convinced that he can't beat us with his arm. I mean quite frankly they may be the worst WR unit we face all season.

S.Carolina’s DEs are a fearsome duo.

However, their offense is a turnover machine. If RB Rocket Sanders gets a lot of successful carries, and thus limiting the opportunities for QB Sellers to throw piks, then we’ll have a tough time.

Being too much of a homer to predict us losing to S.Carol8na, I’ll predict that we win by 10.

could suffer worst loss to them in some time. We just are not very fundamentally sound and play scared at times. They will come in here with confidence and attitude and I don’t see us matching it with this team.

Clemson : Depleted O line. Walking wounded RB. Inconsistent QB, defense tackles poorly & plays patty cake, charmin soft a lot.

I hate to say this but I honestly don't think this game ends up close. I sincerely believe this might be the year SC gets some payback for 56-7 & 63-17 although I don't believe it will be quite as bad as those. Sellars is a baller, and huge and does not get tackled easily...something CU's defense isn't known for being good at. Plus who's gonna cover their WRs? Terrel is a midget compared to those guys.

If forced to pick a score, I'd probably say:

SC: 30s to 40s
CU: 0 to 9

It aint gonna be pretty yall.
