Georgia game will be a NOONER

With Chick-fil-A kickoff game (Va Tech & Bama) a lock for primetime, ABC / ESPN will stick us with a national audience at Noon. It will also be 115 degrees and we'll kick off at 8pm in Athens next year.

Not sure if they only show SEC vs SEC but I know Raycom would show out of conference games on occasion in the past.

It is an ACC home game and the conference has no contract with CBS.
What is possible is 8pm ABC and CFA at 8 on ESPN.

Really... I wish some other network comes and take them out. I am so sick of them and I wonder why someone like CBS, NBC, or ABC does not step to the plate and just take them out.....

A few things...
1) ACC rights for ACC home game so no CBS.
2) ABC & ESPN are owned by the same company. They are not putting the two marquee games of opening weekend in competition with each other.
3) Chick-fil-A has never been an afternoon game- always primetime.
4) Similar situation occurred when we played UGA in DV in 2003... And the end result was a Noon kick with national broadcast on ABC.
I'm just saying it doesn't look good. I suppose we could get a 3.30 national kick (like FSU last year), but we could also get the dreaded Nooner (Miami 2009; Auburn 2011, etc.).
I feel like we need to get the faxes rolling on this one now!

If Gameday does decide to cover the game that just about guarantees a 3:30 or 8 PM kick....I can't see Gameday wanting to cover an a$$ kicking by Bama over VT vs our matchup.

Relax everyone. Gameday will 100% be at Clemson for this game. NO WAY they put it at noon. 75% at 8:00, 25% 3:30.
Just this past year, they put Bama/Mich on at the same time as Aub/Clem. Those were by far the marquee matchups of the day, and they were on at the same time.
My prediction:
CFA Beatdown: 7:00
Clemson-UGAY: 8:00
