Holden Beach/Wilmington, NC Help

Taking my teenage girls to Holden Beach next week for their spring break. Never been to Wilmington but have wanted to visit since family ancestry on Dad's side show forefathers coming to the US from Scotland via Wilmington in the 1740's.
Any tiger brethren with local knowledge have suggestions on eating places (Wilmington and Holden Beach) and excursions. Concerning eating, I have been online and see Ann Bonnie's on the waterfront recommended but locals might have some other local favorites. You can take a horse and buggy ride and there is the battleship. Thanks

I'd suggest The Cove Restaurant and Dock House Seafood in Holden Beach

In Wilmington, Tarantelli’s is always good if you like Italian cuisine. Seabird and Butcher & Barrell are also pretty darn good.

Provision Company is on the Intercoastal Waterway in Holden. It's pretty laid back. The Dock House is pretty good as well. Both are near the bridge in Holden.

All the places mentioned are good. If it rains one day or you’re in Shalotte around lunchtime, go to The Purple Onion. Don’t forget their “ Death By Chocolate” cake.

We always cooked so don't know of many restaurants...or maybe I just don't remember them. Hope you have a great time! Fish from the pier!

If you go into Shallotte to pick up some supplies, the Nautical Nachos at the Wing and Fish Co. are amazing.

Near Holden Beach is "Inlet View Bar & Grill" great spot on the river but closer to Ocean Isle than Holden. I don't know much about the restaurants on Holden.
Near Wilmington/Wrightsville, hit up "Roko Italian" "Bluewater Waterfront Grill" or "Oceanic" is good too and right on a pier.
I love the battleship but not sure how much a teenage girl would.
If looking for a fun fishing guide I highly recommend Pierre with https://rising-sun-fishing.com/about/ Just a great guy!
Enjoy your time with your family!

I generally live in Wilmington. I pretty much only recommends the beaches for tourism there.
Wrightsville has the nice beach and is fancier than Carolina Beach...Carolina Beach is still nice though, but a little cheesier. I would go the Wrightsville route though.
