any of you other expatriated Southerners ever meet up with your local Clemson club? What were they like? I met up once with the ones in DC, Nashville, and Arizona. All seemed like a bunch of woohooers.

I think it's one of the better ways to make friends when you move to a new place, or even if you're just in town for a little while and looking for something to do. You usually have a lot more in common with people who went to Clemson, and a lot of times you run into people you know from college... or who at least know other people you knew in college.
The ones in DC and Chicago have not been the "Central Spirit" crowd. ot can vouch for the DC club.

I haven't been to any gatherings since I moved to Baltimore. I joined up when I was living in Southern MD and didn't want to hang out with SMIBs, so I was heading up to DC all the time looking for entertainment.

of people of varying ages and associations (parents, students, alums). The location was hard to beat and the weather was great that day. I hope to go back next year.
(DC/Baltimore group is still the closest to me at this point).
