Other MSynan is at Broadway show, so I am with youngest at swim team lesson

She is recently promoted to Swim Force, whatever that means

God help me and thank goodness I did not have to travel

Swim team was my least favorite of any sport my kids have done.

It’s just awful. They practice everyday, then they have 6 hour long meets where your child swims about 3 times for a minute each. But you have to wait an hour plus between each time they swim.

Then they want you to volunteer to bring snacks and drinks for the kids waiting, plus volunteer to do times on the stop watch or stay to clean up at 10pm.

0 out of 10. Wood not recommend

But doesn't want to do it this year....yet.

Everything said about volunteering and waiting and watching a minute of your child actively participating is 100% spot on.

Also, the heat sheets are impossible to follow and for the amount of $$$ that flows through our club, I can't fathom how we are still using a megaphone only at every meet. 90% of our members could stroke a check for a state of the art sound system and scoreboard at any given moment, but for whatever reason we stay in the stone ages.

Swim culture is new to me and I can't say that I love it. Better than baseball and dance culture, but not my favorite.

Drop daughter off at weekly practice

Go to bar for 36 holes of Golden Tee

Back in parking lot in 1 hour when dance practice ends

2 recitals a year
