What's interesting is that the sbnation article itself was sort of an extension of the excusatory company line on all things Seminole.
Less than two years ago that team was leading the nation in atrocities committed against the female gender, at least until Baylor showed up and stole their thunder...which got everybody at Baylor fired from the president to the chancellor to the coach on down.
In Tally, their starting left tackle just had himself some sort of weird closed-door hearing this past Thursday owing to about his tenth offense beating and then stalking the same girl - in one of those incidents, she called the cops, and somehow the FSU coaching staff showed up instead and they "took care of him". And of course, he gets rubberstamped back into society and is back playing football on Saturday against us.
There is a very, very ill culture down there, and it is lawless, unaccountable, and completely out of control.
It is at least good to see that some of the readers at least have a moral center...even if the article writer and Seminole program itself do not.
There's something way off down there, whatever.

The writer himself is the epitome of everything that is wrong with that culture. Nothing wrong with celebrating the hit and doing the sleeper motion? Their football players just can't do anything wrong. It's going to catch up to them eventually and I'm not talking about the dumpster fire season they are having either.

I'm glad to see the comments. Fanbase is slightly less slimy than I thought.

Fisher is losing his grip, and he is second tier. When Jeremy Pruitt left, his days were numbered.

“When Jeremy Pruitt left, his days were numbered.“
Hope you’re wrong. I hope he stays there as long as he can. Some Seminole fans think he’s taken the program 40 years back. I kinda hope for more.

Nice to see that some Nole fans see this for what it was ...

Their coach is not going to hold the player accountable.
Even though the evidence is right there on tape for all to see.
Time for the FSU administration to step in.
And if they won't, it's time for the ACC to step in.
... or, (cough, cough) the NCAA ??
At some level, someone needs to do the right thing.
A hard example needs to be made and this totally unremorseful kid needs to pay the price.

It was obvious from when Jameis was there and sbould been suspended Immediately when he stood on a table in the student common area and screamed obscenities, the Jimbo was not ever going to do the right thing in these situations. He has no real control or sense of morality in his program. Only when the administration stepped in and set punishment did anything get done about it.

The player should have serious consequences and so should the coach if he ignores the situation.

What really separates our program from theirs is CLASS and CULTURE. Dabo spends time on his knees and jimbo spends time making excuses and using profanity on the side lines.

How do you know that Jimbo isn't on his knees? He may be is in front of his star players. And then they swap places.

Wow...the original author....not so cool. The people that commented had well thought out replies and were truly embarrassed with his behavior.

plenty of them were embarrassed by jameis, too.
They get a bit nerdy with stats, though.

This is what happens when a coach lets a leader get away with “low character” antics. This started with Winston a few years back and it has filtered down. An example of what can happen to your program if you don’t have high character guys and accountability from coaches/leadership.

The dude was definitely head-hunting. Bravo to the sane FSU fans who recognized that the entire episode and especially the post-hit reaction from Rice, the coaches and the post game comments was disgusting.

And they go to sleep.
It’s dirty. Why is that even an argument.
Just a journalist sticking up in whatever what he can for his team that is probably not going to make a bowl game. And I’m glad they aren’t now. I almost felt sorry for them but surely not now. I used to like Jimbo a little bit but that’s gone.
