Barry Sanders, Earl Campbell, and Tony Dorsett. That just about gets me out of running backs. Charles Woodson has Peyton Manning's Heisman, that's the only reason I remember him. Tim Brown from Notre Dame.
Roger the Chicken Dodger Staubach is the only QB I can think of.

2nd to Herschel Walker in 1982, and Dickerson finished 3rd that same year.
Paul Hornung has Jim Brown's Heistman, in my book. He only got it because he was a Golden Domer and a pretty boy. In 1956, black players were not going to win the Heistman. Jim Brown didn't even finish in the Top 3, in any year. It would be another five years before Ernie Davis (ironically also a running back from Syracuse) became the first black player to win that award.
