I went to a couple of PromiseKeepers meetings.

One in St. Pete at the Trop. He was still in charge. Great meeting.

Went to one a few years later after he had stepped aside and others were running the organization. It was a good meeting, but not nearly up to the level of when Bill was in charge.

I had the opportunity to do the music for him at a Promisekeepers event

Thanks for the link. He was a great coach and an interesting football character study. From what I remember, he brought in some players that were very talented with character flaws. He set about trying to make them a winning football team, but also shared his faith with them. It changed some of their lives for the better. His daughter also became pregnant by his starting QB and accepted the relationship when interracial relationships/marriages were not as acceptable as they are today. The QB later died of stomach cancer and Coach Mac continued to support his daughter and grandson. So fitting that the grandson eventually played for Colorado.
It was also a flashback for me remembering the time when coaches still made sure that they could control the line of scrimmage and running the wishbone was the way to get it done. Great memories!
