Murphy and breese should've came back.

They both went 1st round. Sure wish they were here, but getting a 1st round pic is what you hope for anyway.

Maybe Simpson was the one that should have stayed.

Murphy was not interested in going hard last year so he made the right decision.

Breese could have helped himself playing a full year without distractions or injuries. Since he seems to be injured every year opting for the draft was likely the best choice

Anything in first 2 rounds is a go decision.

The 64th pick last year got $5.8m. Heck, the 96th pick got $5.0M. Late 1st round or high 2nd is around $10m so ideally you go at/earlier than that. It’s fair to say if you think you can get top 10 that that’s worth 2-4 times more, but getting injured in your college season is still a risk and BB in particular has already dealt with them.

If someone had provided me with $5m ($3m after taxes) at 22, I’d likely not be working nearly as hard today. You could easily take $1M of that to buy a house, a car, and groceries and let the remainder just start working for you. That’s essentially what we’re all trying to pull off by 65…

Murphy gets $13.4M over 4 years
Bresee gets $13.05M over 4 years

They both went first round. Granted, not high first round,

but first round nonetheless. Bresse might have advanced his position a few spots, but Murphy, IMHO was not going to put forth the effort it would have taken for him to advance much higher. Weigh that with the spectre of possible injury, and if I were them, I would not look back.
