Hire a coach that failed at Clemson. Gotta love that Athletic Department. But, if you don't hire him as head coach, you retain him as hitting instructor after being shut out 2-0 in the regional by James Madison. The future looks bright for opponents if any of this happens.

I'm not going to ask that they hire him bc, I've learned over a pretty long lifetime to be careful of what you ask for bc you just may get it. I say this because what if Monte has learned from the mistakes that he made at Clemson, and learned somethings from Mark Kingston mistakes, and some of what he could do a good job with. Monte's time at college of Charlestown, at Clemson, and in cootlumbia could have and should have made him a better coach with Head Coaching experience.
Personally, I'm not going to hope that the coots hire him as they're HC. I hope that he has to get as far away from the ACC and the SEC as he could go. I don't ever want him coaching anywhere to where he could be playing against our Tigers bc as of this moment we really don't know what kind of a HC he will be with his added experience that he has gained since he was the baseball HC at Clemson...
Monte done a pretty decent job as the HC at college of Charlestown, and I suppose there was a learning curve between coaching at Clemson and the college of Charlestown. Now that he has the experience from coaching at the college of Charlestown, Clemson, USUC, and whatever he may have learned from Kingston under his belt, we really don't know how mediocre, how bad, or how good he may be at his next Head Coaching job. I just don't want to find out with him being the next HC at our most hated rival school. And I also don't want to see that old saying of be careful of what you ask for bc it could come back and bite you in the ###, I don't want to see Monte as the coots HC and it bites all the folks in the A$$ that's hoping he gets hired as the coots HC bc, if it comes back and bites them in the A$$, all the rest of us that didn't hope for Monte to be their HC, we will suffer from it also... I just hope that his next head coaching job isn't in the ACC, and especially not in the SEC...

I saw some fans are trying to say we're just winning with his players LOL. Even tho Blake Wright is probably the only starter he coaches and he only improved when he left. Grice was a perfect example of improvement after his departure. Even it was his players, it's still a knock on Lee for underachieving and not getting the max potential out his players. And last....they do realize he's their hitting coach and they just got sent home on a SHUTOUT from JMU lol

The team batting average is almost 30 points higher this season than Monte Lee's team BA over his tenure at Clemson. How can they say we are "winning with his players" when he had some of these same guys and wasn't winning at this clip?

I would love nothing more than for Monte Lee's recruits to pick Monte Lee as the next coot coach. You can do it Ray!

Not really...Lee was a great dude and a great ambassador for Clemson...He got canned and departed gracefully...I think he's a good player's coach and recruiter, but not good at developing players.

I personally believe that was bc he brought as many of the college of Charlestown coaches with him when he came to Clemson, and they along with Monte had a learning curve from coaching at the level of college of Charlestown to one of the better ACC programs as in Clemson...
I do know that when coach Bakich came in, he didn't have to comment on anything about Monte Lee. But he did say that he was inheriting some pretty good talent that Monte had brought in, and that he felt that our baseball program was in pretty good shape... If I were a betting man, I would bet that if Monte would have hired a full crew of power 5 coaches when he came to Clemson, he would have done a much better job than he was able to with the crew he brought with him... I liked Monte when he was hired as our HC, but I was really disappointed that he didn't do a better job with our baseball program, and I was ready for him to be replaced probably a year before he was shown the door.
I personally would like to see him become successful at a power 5 school, but if stays with the coots, I hope that He Monte Lee doesn't do any better than the rest of them have since Ray Tanner stepped down as their head baseball coach and became their Athletic Director. Lose, lose, lose, and lose is what I hope for at They All SUCK in Cootlumbia!!!

He might just throw them under the bus and quit trying for them mid-stream, like he did my Tigers. Stupid coots.
