I tell you Tiger fans what....... I followed the scrimmage the other day for our baseball team. When I tell you folks we are Omaha Bound this upcoming season, I mean it. This team is championship ready. Monte Lee is going to have a break out year and make everyone forget about the off year the team had last year. We have so much to be excited about with Monte Lee. Just so glad Leggett was fired. He was a loser and to cocky to retire and so he got fired. I am so proud of Coach Lee and the greatness he has brought to Clemson University! Get ready for an AWESOME baseball season!!!

Monte Lee should have been gone last year. It hurts to see the baseball program, the program you could always count on at Clemson to be solid, fall this far.
If he loses the coot series again this year and doesn’t after 6 years make a super regional, not sure how a change isn’t made

The revenue, donors and interest just isn’t there. Do I think Monty is who is going to turn the program into a Vandy? Probably not, but the interest, revenue and donation won’t likely set the world on fire if we fire him for whoever. This bored is a beacon for morans to want the coaches heads’ every season things don’t yield enough wins or a championship. It’s just the buffoons that make up a fanbase. Most schools have a signature sport. Duke is basketball and Vandy is baseball. Clemson is football. Baseball just doesn’t register the interest it used to and I don’t see that changing with incoming generations.

Oh lord, there’s just so much stupid “paste and post” crap in what you blabbed .
Your 100% wrong in your assessment that the interest isn’t there. A lot of folks I assume are like me in that they grew up watching Clemson baseball and expecting the program to be in the upper echelons of programs nationwide. Last year was an embarrassment especially considering it was following a year in which Jacksonville State blew us out of a regional.
I doubt many were thinking they fired Leggett so we could go 6 years with no super appearance and becoming a bottom tier ACC team that doesn’t even make a regional.
I get some “ morans” assume every move made by DRad is justified, but in this case, the longer Monte is allowed to run the program in the ground the longer it’ll take to build it back

So that’s kinda my point. Baseball doesn’t have the same interest amongst younger generations. I’m not down on what Clemson has done historically and it has helped build a solid program. I’m merely suggesting that from a business standpoint it’s difficult to rationalize the spend required for the probable return.
