It's probably not too much of a stretch to think that if PSU fans are Blaming their D for the loss to ND, then Allen might have gotten some heat from James Franklin as well in order to deflect criticism from himself.

Franklin's seat has gotten fairly warm of late due to disappointing results (mainly the lack of a really good QB) and I suspect he might have been looking for a scapegoat and ticked off Allen.

They blame the defense? Interesting take. Watching that game Allar was the biggest issue for them. Dude was horrible and inaccurate, he's never stepped up in a big game.

I thought the defense played well their offense never capitalized on turnovers. They had some busts in coverage but the pass rush was fierce and they got guys down.

Penn State's biggest issue. He's to the Nittany Lions what many Tiger fans were saying (and some still do) about Brad Brownell.

Who'd you prefer to work with and for? Franklin, or Dabo?

James Franklin is a decent not great coach. He has never really impressed me. That loss was on him, right wrong or indifferent. It's his job to put the best players on the field and have them in the best positions of success. He didn't do that in this game and continues to come up short when it counts in big post season games. Hopefully he can break that curse like Kirby Smart did a few years back with UGA.
