Mid Year Stats Comparison to Last Season

7

Apr 17, 2023, 10:55 AM

Here is a statistics comparison to last season for reference as the Tiger get another ACC series win over Notre Dame this weekend.

Generally, we are hitting at a higher rate but do not hit for as much power as last year (Thanks Max Wagner). Pitching is starting to round into form with a little better team ERA over the last couple of weeks.

Let me know what you think.

I like this team. They play hard. One issue that has seemed to plaque us is getting a run or 2 and give those up the next 1/2 inning. Did not happen Sunday which I was ecstatic about. Was hoping to go Sat evening after the spring game but had to head back to take care of some things. Leggett had his number retired and got the win. Really hated I could not make it.

To add something else Grice has looked a LOT better as of late but wonder why I have not seen him pitching regularly in his time here. He seems to be the Sunday guy now but maybe I missed him pitching in the past.

He has pitched some the two prior years, but this is the first year they have given him a larger role. He has been pretty dominant and since he has started pitching, he has really been hitting the ball well. I believe I heard them say at one point this weekend he is hitting like .455 in ACC play.
