Eight SEC teams have defenses ranked lower than UNC which is second to the last in the ACC!! More than half of the defenses in the SEC are ranked #50 and below. That is the standard bearer? The "SEC Defense" standard is a thing of the past.
The highest ranked SEC defense is Missouri at #8 and then Alabama at #10. The ACC has twice as many defenses ranked in the top 10.

Humph. I watched them play Oregon and part of Air Force. They looked really good to me.
I guess some teams have it for a bit, then lose it. Hopefully they'll quit looking like anything SEC so they can win some more.
