I disagree, because when Mike Vick came close, it was on Sports news constantly at the time. But The media was in love with Vick since he was a RS Freshman, so it makes a difference.

That said, I never thought 2000/1000 was that big of a deal at all. The total yards deal was nothing special, even if he was the first. It was still only 3k yards, even if was divided 2k/1k. It was a novelty and he was easily shutdown vs fast's D's like FSU anyway. I like Woody, like we all do, but 2k and 1k was a novelty. Watson will get the hype this year though and it will be much deserved.

Ha it'd be awesome to see DW4 up for it but if I take off my orange-tinted glasses I do realize that "record for most all-purpose yards" is a more approachable and general stat for the public than Deshaun's record breaking "first to throw for 4K, rush for 1K". It's much more specific. That said, I'll go to war with DW4 on my squad vs any other player in CFB any day of the week and twice on Saturday!
