OK, maybe it's been mentioned before but Dabo DIDN'T have his Waffle House menu

in the first half. Does this mean that he FINALLY let Riley call the game on his own ?? Interesting.
I did notice Dabo had the playsheet in the 2nd half when the subs were in......

Sure looked that way to me on the first 3 series, yes.

How deep did you have to dig to find justification for criticizing Dabo?

So you're saying you didn't notice a difference in the offense last night? Or what, exactly?

The problem is Dabo holding a play sheet is not evidence he is calling the plays

I’m not saying he doesn’t, but my guess is he gives input, as most head coaches do. Dabo is an offensive guy, so that’s where he is probably most involved, just like Saban was a defensive guy, so I’m sure he had more input on that side of the ball.
I haven’t heard anyone accuse Dabo of calling the plays when Chad Morris was here, but…

I'm guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle. I'm guessing Riley scripted out the first 3 series and I'm sure Dabo knew what was going to be called, thus no need for the playsheet.

My guess is the staff didn’t want to hurt Cade’s confidence in game one against the #1 team in the country, so you saw very low risk, vanilla play calling. This game, they opened it up more due to who we were playing. We’ll probably see something in the middle going forward against most teams, varying based on their strengths/weaknesses.
