Currently at Bengals as DL coach. He was Co-Def at Dolphins for a year. He might be getting tired of NFL. Our DL was solid under him and he has a lot of College and NFL Def coaching. Could be an option but someone mentioned he might have burned the bridge with Dabo but I thought it was a BV rub for not getting DC opportunity. I could be wrong.

This is it. NFL guys more than likely DON'T want to deal with the current state of CFB.

When more regulations come into play we'll see it balance back out but until then I suspect it'll be rarer to see an NFL guy go down to the college level.

Coaches went to NFL bc they didnt want to go on the road recruiting 24/7/365

NFL coaches are probably more suited for the college game now that they can buy players thru free agency willy-nilly.

Hobby wanted to become DC. And when he didn’t get it, he went to the NFL. He would be a great hire. Better than, what I believe to be the next DC, Lorenzo Ward.
