That's great for him. No state income tax. A reasonable cost of living where he is. He is obviously generationally wealthy now. In 5 years or so he will sign a 500 million dollar new contract. The only negative as a fan is that he will make it hard to get a quality team around him. He will need some quality rookie contracts. Anyway, good for him.

Trevor Lawrence while at Clemson became my all-time favorite QB and Clemson Tiger without any doubts!!! Now I ask myself if my all-time favorite Clemson player is worth $275 million bucks with a 5-year contract. My answer to self is H E L L NOOOOO! ! ! IMO there is nobody that is involved with any professional sport at any level worth $275 million bucks, not even if the contract was for 25 years!!!! But I am happy for him that he found an employer that is totally crazy and stupid!!!

The owner deserves to make more, since it is his team. I personally have reached a point where I mostly don't care what these guys make. The only thing that will hurt their teams is that they probably won't pay top dollar for other players, and so the payroll will become very top heavy.

Why is he not worth that? That’s where the market is at right now and the franchises have the money to pay it so they are rewarding their employees. It doesn’t matter if anyone thinks he’s worth that or not. The franchise deemed him worth it, and again, they have the money to pay it. So why not?

One similar to Trevor is in the making, I hope. He is sophomore Tait Reynolds. He pretty close to Trevor's same height and weight when got to Clemson. By the time that Tait finishes HS he should be a high 4 star and possibly a 5 star with the right QB coaching, and if it's Clemson that he chooses, I hope his parents has the money to send him to a QB guru camp during the off seasons!!!
