just got a new verse featuring DA Alvin Bragg.
If DJT gets taken down in a legal decision, the biggest winners are politicos in the GOP. They should be sending thank you notes to DA Bragg. Nicki Haley probsbly asked Bragg to make this happen.

The thing is, he still probably gets the nomination, and there's about zero chance he's sent to jail and has exhausted all appeals before the election. Which means win or lose (the election), he could well be carrying several convictions before the 2024 election. Which in turn means the GOP could well be forced to run a convicted criminal as president. I somehow doubt that resonates well with the voters.
Donald absolutely will not drop out, even from a jail cell. You know it, I know it, the GOP brass knows it...which is doubtlessly giving them indigestion when they eyeball the possible timeline. Which in turn means that Donald could well be the gift that keeps right on giving...to the Dems. For a fourth straight election. Because even if the GOP yanks the nomination, the base will stick with Donald.
It could present an interesting conundrum for the GOP.

he would run 3rd party to continue fundraising and ruin any shot for the GOP. If they had the marbles, they'd 14th ammendment him.

Prosecutor scenarios for Trump travel restraints
Mar 30, 2023, 10:21 PM

Trump’s biggest impediment from the Bragg deal may turn out to be indictment related travel restraints.
This makes the Democrats management of the Republican Party dynamics kind of interesting.
(?-1). If Democrats (by this I mean the NY legal system at the recommendation of the Democrat DA) restrains Trump from traveling outside of NY or FL, then Trump’s rally related campaigning will be less effective … thereby helping Trump’s primary opponents.
(?-2). If Democrats allow Trump to travel, then he’ll have a better chance of winning the Republican primary, and will have the politically motivated indictments and Democrat orchestrated (and dead end) other crimes as campaign material in the general election.
(???). Is there precedent in a drawn out trial process (which is possibly) for the prosecution to revoke travel privileges at some point closer to the 2024 election.
If I’m a Democrat operative, then the ‘tie him down in ~ one year’ approach is what I’d recommend to A.Bragg.

Well hot dang and raise my rent! Quozell yet lives!
I was starting to miss those copiously meandering treatises.
Good to read'ya Quo, but mark my words: The Donald shall not be nominee. He's blown his proverbial wad, like KISS on their first farewell tour. But I hope he sticks around, like KISS on their fifth farewell tour, 'cause if he didn't, what would poor MAGAt haters have to hate then?

devoid of Trumpism.
Based on your points, I don't know how it is possible. The GOP can't and won't go into 2024 with this kind of ugliness. Something has to give, and that something is DJT. He's one man, without the media to prop him up this time, he's doomed.
I say the Bragg indictment seals his fate, and its' game over. The GOP comes back to life with new ideas, new faces, and a real contest with the Dems.
For everyone's sake, let the nation put this ugly chapter behind us.
