Man, sometimes when you follow a route to get from Point A

to Point B via a GPS unit, you can get sent through some places, on some back roads, that look like a wart on the west butt cheek of the end of nowhere. That was the case for me on a trip yesterday. I certainly was not going to stop at any point, and kept my window cracked, in case I started hearing banjo music, anytime I HAD to stop for a stop sign.

I once followed my GPS down a dirt road, turned into someone's driveway, waved at the owner as I drove past his garage, continued to the back of his property, and turned onto another dirt road that took me back to the main highway. I have no idea where I was or how much time or distance the GPS saved me, but I can't imagine that was the best route.
