but he wasn't exactly forthcoming about him being third in line either.
I am a Dabo supporter, but the handling of the entire DW saga since naming Cole the starter in the spring has irked me a little.

I've been pretty livid about it. Playing Cole may have cost us the UGA game, probably cost us the FSU game, COULD have cost us the UNC game, and COULD have cost us vs Wake. He just isn't good enough.
He stares down receivers HARD, has a few wild throws a game, misses a few easy throws each game, and appears to have no chemistry with his WR's. It's baffling considering what he has done for us in previous years but true.

While you're at it, find Stoudt and tell him to get his butt back up to Ohio where he belongs, punch him in the mouth, and slam him on his injured shoulder for good measure.
Honestly, I thought this was a Clemson FAN Bored. I lived in Cootlumbia for 4 years, including the 1984 Glory Year. You would have thought after they lost to Navy that they were 1-9 instead of 9-1. I predicted everyone would be calling to put Watson in by the end of the first quarter and I was right. Stoudt couldn't do anything against the worst defense in the country and the worst team.
He should have been benched after that pick. Then he took a sack giving up field goal position. People that think he did a good job just don't understand the game.
Defense wins that last four games. End of story.

Worst defense in the country?? You just proved how ignorant you are. There offense is ranked near/at the bottom but their D certainly isn't. They have two of the better corners in the conference. You people kill me with your lame attempts at trashing someone or something. If you're gonna do it please base it on fact and not feelings.

I get it. He has sat a long time behind other people and never gave up. Then when it's his time someone better comes along. But that's life. We have all been there at one time. But we have been sitting through wins that feel to me like, an open date. The game tests your sanity and your families desire to be around you. The D would already have several shut outs if not for bad play on O.

He Said "if needed to win the game" He wasn't gonna be needed if Schusller could play well. They were not play Watson unless there was no other choice. Learn to read and comprehend what you are reading.

Exactly. Nick had already been told that he would be the next man up.
DW was NOT going to play. He knew that also.
DW was available if both Cole and Nock were unsuccessful or unavailable. That is the extent of the entire issue.
We were able to win the game without even needing to go to Nick, much less DW.

It is a win though! And the offence improved I thought
No matter what lacks on O this year D is old school Clemson Football and it is a thing of beauty. To hell with 40 - 60 points when you can manhandle everyone you play.
