Mafah's role is curious......

it does seem that he runs with less authority and looks to avoid contact as much as possible. I can only think that is because he is hurt and protecting himself in some way which is entirely understandable. The curious thing is how/why we dont seem to want to play Haynes, etc more? I'm assuming it's because he,they are smaller and can't/won't pass block but honestly Ive seen Mafah whiff on that too. Surely, we have recruited somebody who can pick up blitzing LBs?

He should not see the field again. Should not have played the last 3 games. Poor coaching to put him above the team.

Well, you tell me how much he has contributed in his other roles in the Louisville and Usuc loss and almost a loss to Pitt.

RB MEANS R.U.N.N.I.N.G. THAT'S THE PRIMARY ROLE OF A RB.

Even If Haynes played more we still would have needed to keep passing mostly because we were doing what we wanted through the air all day until Dabo pulled us away from that. Cade was going to win that game comfortably had we totally kept it in his hands.

If we play the same strategy against SMU we will lose. And you have to think we will use that same strategy because we've seen 4-5 straight years of it now. I'm stunned based on past performance that Dabo has gotten so stuck into this rut of bad offenses.
