I mean I don't know what he could've argue about with Coch Spilluh cause he got stuffed twice in a row at the goal line. I would have loved to hear Dabo say something other than "Spiller will handle it." Na dawg, YOU need to handle it.

ball like a loaf of bread, but I don't think there's a huge difference either way. Mafah getting more carries isn't gonna change our offense.
Haynes is a really nice change of pace RB but needs more reps before he is trusted.

Mafah: 5.1 avg
Though in just 3 games this year, Mafah is at 6.6 vs Shipotle at 6.3
But you prob want Shipley in b/c they know we use him as a receiver more than Mafah and Mafah fumbled that 1 at the 1 yard line then Shipley Mcbrickhands tipped that one ball to Duke and what is Kobe Pace doing these days?
Dang man, can you imagine complaining about running backs getting over 5 yards/carry pre Dabo? 6 yds/carry?

Mafah has changed his game and stepped it up this past off season. He’s visibly playing better than Shipley. I’m not going to penalize him for that fumble. Anyone would have lost that one after the DT blew through the line and practiced targeting the ball with the crown of his helmet.
Before this season? Yeah, coin toss if not a nod to Shipley.

Shipley is many times better in protection
Shipley is much better on swing routes and wheel routes (this is last year mainly)...which we run a lot of
I think Shipley has better vision at the line and if we need a 1st with a couple of tough yards, he's the man
I think what you're seeing this year is a combination of an improved Mafah and also some situational issues, meaning Mafah has had more well-blocked plays than Shipley.
I like the 2-back set we're running a lot. Mafah is looking better out of that set because (I think) Shipley is the better blocker.
But if I was running a team and could only have one of them, I would easily take Shipley.

Ship is better at pass plays for sure, and I’ll give you protection too, but big, gigantic nope on getting the tough yards. Mafah is all over Ship in those scenarios.

which happens to all of us - get too excited and hit the wrong hole, sometimes it works out great...
but Ship said "why are you yelling at me" and then I think words were had. You then saw Spiller tap his helmet and Ship fist bump Spiller shortly after, so I'm not really sure what the big deal is. Maybe the TV broadcast made it a big deal? No idea.

That towel on the head thing is worth 10 stadium steps, imo, whoever does it. Come to think of it, passive/aggressive defines things lately as well as anything else, sulking about their own unreached potential.

Ship got upset bc spiller pulled him when they were on the one yard line. So he was being emotional about being pulled. Spiller explained to Ship. That was all. Big nothing burger.
CDS said in the post press that it was handled internally and was over and they had moved on.

Players shouldn't be acting that way toward coaches on the sideline and pouting afterwards. Don't cause a scene on TV. If Spiller was wrong, handle it with Dabo behind closed doors.
